After coming to a temple named Dan Vien Bien Duc in HCM City in October 2008 to pray to become pregnant, Nhiem believed that she was in fact carrying a baby.
Nhiem’s stomach grew larger over 16 months (her waist expanded up to 2 meters), but she didn’t deliver a child. She went to the Cho Ray Hospital on March 2, where doctors made a scan and found a huge tumor in her stomach.
Previously, Hanoi’s K Hospital took a 27kg from the stomach of a 38-year-old woman from Cao Bang province, who also believed that she was pregnant after she came went a temple to pray for a child.
Medical experts warn women to be careful with their health and to remember that they cannot become pregnant by praying.
