VnnNews – Several construction projects receiving preferential funds in Hanoi will not be finished in time to celebrate the city’s 1000th anniversary.

The news was made public by the Hanoi People’s Committee at a meeting with the city People’s Council.
Projects range from traffic construction to cultural preservation. It includes work on Co Loa Citadel which is more than 2,200 years old and located 20 kilometers north of central
The committee revealed project investors had lacked the capacity to speed up steps including establishing, assessing and approving detailed plans.
In addition, it’s claimed project consultants have not worked well with plans having to be changed several times before commencement. Elsewhere, troubles involving ground-clearance and compensation also caused hold ups.
The seven delayed projects have been supported with trillions of Dong from the capital city’s budget.
