Supermodel Vu Nguyen Ha Anh has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Vietnam.

Ha Anh is the second Vietnamese person to hold this honor after former football star Le Huynh Duc.
Before returning to Vietnam to become a famous model, Ha Anh studied and worked as a model in the UK.
Danny Kaye was the first to hold the position, with the title of Ambassador-at-Large granted in 1954. Other celebrities have followed, acting as international, regional, or national ambassadors, depending on their profile, interests, and desired level of responsibility. The goal of the program is to allow celebrities with a demonstrated interest in UNICEF issues to use their fame to draw attention to important issues. This may take the form of public appearances and talks, visits to troubled regions that draw media attention, or using their political access to advocate for UNICEF causes.
Many stars have been appointed as UNICEF goodwill ambassadors, such as Lucy Liu, Sarah Jessica Parker, Claudia Schiffer, Liv Tyler, Selena Gomez, Won Bin, Robbie Williams, Ralph Fiennes, etc.
