Vietnamese martial arts centre opens in Mexico

The Vovinam – Mexico organization has opened a new centre named “New Generation” in Alvaro Obregon district, Mexico City, on February 6.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Van Que, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico expressed his pleasure at the increasing number of people practicing Vovinam (Vietnamese marital arts) in the country.

 

He confirmed that Vovinam-Mexico organization has actively contributed to strengthening the two country’s relations.

 

The Ambassador said Mexicans will learn more about Vietnam’s land and culture through this martial art.

 

On behalf of Alvaro Obregon’s local authorities, Francisco Benitez thanked the Ambassador for his interest in social and cultural activities in the district and sent his best wishes to the organization.

 

The Vovinam-Mexico organization now has more than 25 centers in the country, serving about 600 people.
