VnnNews – Even though Vietnam has not played any games since the AFC Football Championship in May, it retained 1,612 points and outstripped Thailand in FIFA’s July world rankings to top Southeast Asia.
After leaping three impressive steps in the previous quarter, Thailand had its score deducted by 6 points to fall to 32nd position.
Myanmar sustained its third position in Southeast Asia and climbed up three steps to 47th place in the world.
In Asia, Japan remained the strongest team, followed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Australia, China and the Republic of Korea.
Despite being deducted by 6 points, the US retained its No1 position, followed by Germany, Brazil and Sweden.
