The Vietnam Film Institute has digitized the first 117 feature films, documentaries and cartoons of Vietnam for audiences who want information about Vietnamese films. Audiences can also get lists of the film crews, cast lists and scenes.
Vietnamese classic movies like “Sharing a River,” “A Phu”, “Mrs. Tu Hau,”White Eys” and documentaries “Dien Bien Phu Victory”, “Uncle Ho’s Last Minutes”, “Independence Day 2/9/1945” are the first films digitized by the institute.
The public can also borrow or watch on the spot films made by senior directors like Hai Ninh, Hong Sen and Dang Nhat Minh.
The video library will open for free for six months before issuing membership cards.
From April 3 to December 18, the Vietnam Film Institute will screen its 2010 film program.
