Ninh Binh chase Tavares signature
Newly promoted V-League side, Ninh Binh, will seek to sign Brazilian Edson Tavares on a three-year contract in preparation for the new season.
Ninh Binh offered the Brazilian coach a monthly salary of US$10,000, provided that Tavares helps the team rank at least third in the V-League next year.
However, the team will end the contract if the Brazilian fails his target of taking the team into the top three.
The 53-year-old Brazilian was the first foreigner to coach the Vietnamese team in 1995 and again in 2004 but he was sacked after a poor performance in the Southeast Asian Football Championship in Viet Nam 2004.
