VietNamNet Bridge – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the Vietnamese delegation arrived in Budapest on September 18 for a two-day official visit to Hungary at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart Bajnai Gordon.
PM Dung and Vietnamese officials was welcomed at the airport by senior Hungarian government officials, the Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary, staff from the Vietnamese Embassy in Budapest and members of the Vietnamese community in Hungary.
The visit aims to lift the level of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary, especially bilateral cooperation in finance, trade, investment and the energy industry. Discussions on emigration, consular and nationality-related issues will also take place.
An official welcoming ceremony for Mr Dung is due to take place in the afternoon the same day at Kossuth Square in Budapest.
Immediately after that, PM Dung is scheduled to have talks with Hungarian PM Bajnai Gordon on specific ways of boosting friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
On the occasion, Mr Dung is also expected to meet with Hungary’s President and other senior officials.
