Photos confirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over Paracel islands

More than 70 photos and copies of ancient documents proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Parcel) islands are displayed at an exhibition in the central province of Quang Ngai.

The map of Vietnam in an old book entitled “Dai Nam Thong Nhat Toan Do”, published by the Nguyen dynasty in the 19th century, which noted Hoang Sa and Truong Sa (Spratly) islands as part of Vietnam.

 

Huu Nhat (Robert Island) belonging to the Hoang Sa Islands, was named after Pham Huu Nhat, the chief of the Hoang Sa flotilla.
