Collecting public opinion about documents of the 11th Party Congress will be carried out in a democratic and open manner, emphasized National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong.

Speaking at a conference of the NA Standing Committee and the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on March 10, Trong noted that 2010 is a year of great events.
“A very important event is we have to prepare documents for the Party Congress at all levels and the National Party Congress in early 2011,” Trong stated.
“The people at home and abroad will be very interested in our policies in the future,” the NA Chairman predicted.
He said that draft documents of the upcoming Party Congress will be introduced publicly to collect comments, especially on working regulations and personnel.
As Vice-Chief of the Sub-committee for Political Programme and Reports of the 11th National Party Congress, Trong reminded the draft group to take responsibility and work in a democratic and open spirit.
“This is real democracy, not asking for comments just to show that the public has been consulted,” Trong emphasized.
