Previously, the national institute met athe demands of all people who wanted to have tests. Those people, who were found negative to H1N1, had to pay for the test, while those, who were found positive to H1N1, did not have to pay for test or treatment.
Also, if doctors decided that someone had to be tested, they did not have to pay regardless of the test result.
However, under the new decision, everyone has to pay for testing, though H1N1 patients will still be able to get free treatment.
The fee for testing is about $150-200.
“The epidemic has been spreading so rapidly, while the biological products are running out,” Ha said.

Stronger patients should be isolated but taken care of at home and only hospitalised if things get worse.
In related news, local newspapers have quoted a survey as reporting that more than 60 percent out of 600 polled health workers don’t know that influenza A (H1N1) virus has 7-10 day incubation period.
