The stars of the movie “Chuyen Tinh Xa Xu” (Passport to Love) are set to head to the USA to prepare for its American release on October 9.

The US-based film distributor Everest Productions has agreed to distribute this movie in six cinema theatre chains in San Jose (California), Texas (Houston) and Atlanta (Georgia).
This movie was screened in Vietnam this Valentine’s Day and proved a hit with viewers. The film also won the Audience’s Choice Award and the Best Supporting Actress (Kathy Uyen) at the Golden Kite Award 2009.
To introduce the film in the US, Everest Productions has re-designed the trailer and poster.
Director Victor Vu says the producer is considering screening the film in Vietnam for a second time before releasing it on DVD.
“Passport to Love” tells a love story between two Vietnamese students in the US and two Vietnamese-American girls.
The film features popular Vietnamese actors Binh Minh and Huy Khanh, beauty queen Ngoc Diep and supermodel Tang Bao Quyen besides a Vietnamese American actress Kathy Uyen.
