Khanh Hoa will combine with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Youth Media Group and Thanh Nien Newspaper to organize this pageant.
“After receiving the Government’s decision on August 2, Khanh Hoa will immediately discuss with related organizations about the organizational tasks and we will hold a press conference about this event,” revealed Khanh Hoa Vice-Chair Le Xuan Than.
On July 27, Lorraine E. Shuck, Vice-Executive Chair of Carousel Productions, Inc., the organizer of Miss Earth pageant, went to Nha Trang for a survey and discussion with Khanh Hoa authorities.
Miss Earth 2010 will take place in November 2010, attracting around 90 international contestants, who will come to Vietnam on November 4 to participate in charity and environmental activities. The finale is scheduled on December 14.
Last year Larissa Ramos from Brazil was the winner.
Nha Trang-based Vinapearl Land has hosted several local and international beauty pageants, including Miss Universe 2008, part of the Miss Earth 2007, plus now Miss Vietnam Global 2010 this August and Miss Earth 2010 in December.
