VnnNews – The National U-21 Football Championship officially kicked off in Binh Duong province on September 17.

The tournament attracts eight teams divided in two groups. Group A includes hosts Becamex Binh Duong, T&T Hanoi, Khatoco Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City, whereas group B comprises SHB Da Nang, Quang Ninh Coal, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Ton Phuoc Khanh Tien Giang.
The opening match took place between Becamex Binh Duong and Khatoco Khanh Hoa. The hosts dominated most of the game time and won 2-0 with two goals by Lam Hai and Nguyen Cong Huy.
Also in group A, the second match between T&T Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City concluded in a 1-1 draw.
The championship will continue today with two matches in group B: Hoang Anh Gia Lai vs Quang Ninh Coal and SHB Da Nang vs Tien Giang.
