No more new online games will be licenced in Vietnam until the regulation on controlling online games is issued.

This regulation, compiled by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC), will be submitted to the Government this August.
MoIC will submit the draft Law on Information Security on the Internet to address the provision of information and will set up the Information Security Agency, which will cooperate with international network security organizations to ensure information security on the Internet.
The Minister of Information and Communications on July 27 asked Internet service providers to cut off Internet transmission to Internet agents from 11pm to 6pm, under the regulation that allows Internet cafes to open from 6am to 11pm.
At the same time, HCM City Department of Information and Communications asked online game providers to report violent content in their games before August 2.
