VnnNews – A show that combines Japanese traditional drum performance and modern robot moves will be held in Hanoi on November 24.

The show, sponsored by Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, Japan Culture Exchange Centre in Vietnam, Japan International Exchange Foundation, is to mark the Japan – Mekong year of exchange.

The show will include separate drum gigs, as well as combination of traditional drum and top-notch robot performance.

The robot show will feature “Tmsuk IV” human-like robot and the four legged “Ban-ryu” robot from Tmsuk. “Tmsuk IV” can follow various difficult moves controlled by a remote control, while “Ban-ryu” can walk around thanks to a touch sensor.

The show is expected to bring unexpected surprises to viewers, who can also try to control the robot themselves. Besides the robot performance, there will be traditional drum performance by the OTO-ZA band that will also perform a Vietnamese song.

Established in 2002, OTO-ZA is known through its musical plays based on legends and fairy tales, using drums and flutes, making the play more Japan-like and closer to Japanese tradition.

The performance will start at 20h, November 24, at the Vietnam – Russia Culture Palace. Tickets can be obtained at the Japan – Vietnam Culture Exchange Centre in Vietnam, at 27 Quang Trung Street, Hanoi.
