The 23-year-old showed top form at the championship as she finished the heat with a time of 11.70 on Tuesday.
She was faster than Chinese Tao Yu Jia; Watanabe Maryumi of Japan and Uzbekistan’s Guzel Khbbieva in the semi-final race at Guangdong Olympic Stadium.
In the semi-final yesterday, November 11, Le Thi Ngoc Phuong failed to qualify for final as she finished fifth among eighth competitors with a time in 11.86.
It’s the first time in the history of Asian Athletics; China has hosted biannual 18th Asian Athletics Championship with the participation of 800 athletes and 300 staff and referees from nearly 40 countries and territories.
Viet Nam’s four-member squad, led by coach Duong Duc Thuy, are competing in the women’s 100m and 400m, the men’s and women’s 1,500m events.
The championship closes on Saturday.
