VnnNews – Landscapes, relics, daily life, and new development are all topics of a photo and video competition in Hanoi.

The competition was launched on January 14 to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of the capital city this October.
Photos must be taken by the competitors and be of a high quality (up to 1280 pixels for the longest side). Contestants can use minimal computer software to correct photos. Captions must be less than 200 words.
For video clips, narration must be in Vietnamese. The organizing board doesn’t accept clips that have been posted on the Internet or sent to other contests.
The organizing board will present prizes for the best photos of each month (1 million dong/prize) on a quarterly basis. The final ceremony will take place on September 2, 2010, the National Day.
The prize structure includes: one Grand Prize worth 8 million dong, a first prize of 5 million dong, three second prizes worth 4 million dong each and 5 third prizes of 2 million dong each.
