A number of events will take place in the city during the week, including a fashion show in the campus of the French Consulate General in HCM City. Dancer Linh Nga will perform on a stage decorated with 8,000 roses on the evening of December 11.

“This show will be an effective way to advertise Vietnamese fashion to foreigners, in particular the French,” said French Consul General Gerard Boivineau.

Senior fashion designer Minh Hanh said Vietnam Fashion Week would show the integration of Vietnam’s fashion industry into the world, following Vietnam joining the Asian Fashion Federation in Hanoi in November.
