The exhibition Ha Noi, Welcome is an opportunity to improve, share inspiration, and exchange experiences and culture through interactive work by ASEAN and Ha Noi artists.
According to the Malaysians and Indonesians, Ha Noi seems to have retained some of its traditional elegant characteristics despite the modernisation process.
The exhibition focuses on the themes of culture, life, and people, portrayed through a variety of art-forms, and marks the first stage in a series of art-showings in capitals throughout the region, the organising committee said.
Ha Noi, Welcome is a community art project with the intention of connecting artists in the region.
From a cultural aspect, this project can be seen as an artistic survey into the environment, with a comparison between the images of native Vietnamese artists and the new and exciting feelings of discovery conveyed by foreign artists from neighbouring countries.
The artists are attempting to convey a new vision of contemporary art, colour, native traditions, in their depictions of Ha Noi.
The exhibition will run until next Monday at 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Ha Noi.
