Binh Thuan’s landscapes and life go on show in Phan Thiet

VnnNews – A painting exhibition called Binh Thuan Welcomes Spring 2010 opened on Wednesday at Phan Thiet City’s cultural center on Tran Phu Street.

The exhibition features 40 paintings made by diverse contemporary materials such as oil paintings, acrylic, paper, statues and installation works which have won local prizes in art contests. The works depict landscapes, historical sites and coastal daily life of the province.

The event will run until February 20.

* Authorities in Binh Thuan Province on Wednesday also inaugurated the displaying belt of the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s Binh Thuan branch after over a year of construction. The event is also to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 120th birthday of Uncle Ho and 100 years since Uncle came to Phan Thiet City to teach at Duc Thanh School.

At a cost of VND18 billion, the belt is upgraded with one more floor together with modern facilities and more photos, artifacts and documents which are associated with life and revolution activities of the Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh.

* Authorities in Binh Thuan Province have approved a tourism and building investment company, Tam Tri, to develop an eco-tourism project called Bach Van in Tan Thang Commune, Ham Tan District, Phan Thiet City.

The project will cover about 494 square meters. With an investment of VND150 billion, the project will feature bungalows, beach games, spa, eco-garden and entertainment playground for kids.

Construction will begin in March and is expected to be completed in 18 months. The project will contribute to the province’s economic development, giving more options for tourists and more local jobs.
