Their scholarships are financed by the state, sponsored by foreign countries, or granted by international organisations.
Candidates for the scholarships are those in 2009 who graduated from high school with high grades, passed university entrance exams, or are attending their freshman year at a university.
This year The Ministry of Training and Education gives priority to students who are studying natural sciences, engineering, technology, environment and social sciences.
The Ministry will hold a public recruitment session to ensure equality and transparency. The application deadline is December 31, 2009 and the results will be published in the second quarter of 2010.
